An Uzhgorod was searching for diesel online and found scammers

The police are establishing the circumstances of cheating an Uzhgorod pensioner out of more than 11,000 UAH.

A 42-year-old resident of Uzhgorod reported to Uzhgorod Police Department that an unknown person had cheated him out of a considerable amount of money. The man found online an advertisement for the sale of diesel fuel and transferred to the specified account the money for 600 liters. The victim was expecting to receive coupons for fuel, and instead was cheated.

The police are establishing the circumstances of the case and appeal to citizens asking to check thoroughly all the details of their financial transactions and to be cautious about dealings with unknown persons that involve payments. In case of any doubts about the reliability of financial partners, you should consult with lawyers or immediately contact the police.
