An Uzhgorod residents, who killed his friend with a chair, has been sentenced to 10 years inprisonment

The Prosecutor of Uzhgorod ensured in court proper public prosecution in the criminal proceeding over a criminal offense under Part 1, Art. 115 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine – murder.

On May 4 last year, in one of the high-rises on Hrushevsky street in Uzhgorod, the men were drinking alcohol. Suddenly, a conflict arose between them, which escalated into a fight.
One of the men grabbed a wooden chair, and hit another one on the torso and head. The man died on the spot from his injuries.

During the court trial, public prosecutor of Uzhgorod Prosecution Office presented indisputable evidence proving the guilt of the perpetrator. Therefore, Uzhgorod city and district court fully supported the position of the public prosecutor and pronounced the man guilty of a particularly serious crime – murder – and sentenced the accused to 10 years imprisonment.
