An Uzhgorod residents gave scammers 50,000 UAH

Під приводом оформлення виграшу автомобіля телефонні аферисти виманили від 34-річної жительки м.Ужгорода гроші в сумі 50 000 гривень.

No matter how many times the police warn citizens about telephone scams, our people are still too gullible. As a result, they lose their money.

A 34-year-old resident of Uzhgorod became another victim of scammets. The women received a message that she had become a lucky owner of a brand new car. She only had to pay a small amount for the paperwork – and the car was hers.

In such scams, it is expected that after paying the first amount a person will be willing to pay more. And then there are more and more "payments". Untill the victim runs out of money.

In this case, the woman transferred the telephone scams 50,000 UAH. And when she did not receive the promised "prize", she appealed to the police.

Criminal proceedings over this incident have been initiated. The fraudsters are wanted.
