The Main Offices of the National Police in Transcarpathian and Lviv regions found out that a native of Lviv region, now a resident of Uzhgorod, may be involved in a theft of oil from an oil pipeline.
Transcarpathian police notified the resident of Uzhgorod that he is suspected of committing a criminal offense, stipulated in Part 2 of Article 292 (Damage to main oil product pipelines committed repeatedly) and Part 3 of Article 185 (Theft, combined with penetration into the repository, which caused significant damage to the victim) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. Law enforcers found out that in the middle of July 2016, in the field near the village of Lypnyky in Pustomyty district of Lviv region, an unauthorized branch was made in the oil pipeline "Prykarpatzakhidtrans" and diesel fuel was taken from the pipeline. The thief was a resident of Transcarpathia, a 41-year-old native of Lviv region.
The pretrial restraint in the form of round-the-clock house arrest with an electronic tracking device was imposed on the suspect. The investigation continues.
