An Uzhgorod resident robbed his relatives at 15 thousand hryvnia

A previously convicted resident of Uzhgorod stole from an apartment a TV and an electric grinder. The thief was detained by the criminal police, an investigation over the incident has been initiated.

A resident of Uzhgorod appealed to the police. The applicant reported that expensive things, in particular a TV and an electric grinder, had been stolen from her apartment. The amount of loss was 1500 UAH.

The woman suspected in the theft a relative of her husband, who for some time had been living at their place. Officers of the criminal police of Uzhgorod department found this man. It was a 35-year-old resident of Uzhgorod, who had previously been prosecuted for committing property crimes. This time, he stole from the relatives’ apartment expensive equipment, while they were away. Then he sold the stolen things. 

Investigators initiated criminal proceedings over this incident under Part 1 of Art.185 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (theft). The evidence was obtained. The choise of a pre-trial restraint against the suspect is being decided.The investigators are also check the man for involvement in committing other crimes.
