An Uzhgorod resident met a girl in a club and then stole her money and “iPhone7”

Officers of Uzhgorod Criminal Police found a 25-year-old resident of Uzhgorod who had robbed a woman he had met at a nightclub

A resident of Uzhgorod filed a statement to the police. The woman reported that in one of the nightclubs, her handbag, which contained 1,000 UAH and an "iPhone7", had been stolen.

The applicant suspected two suspicious men who were at the club. Operatives of Uzhgorod Police Department checked this information and found out that the woman had been robbed by a 25-year-old resident of Uzhgorod. They seized from him material evidence – the stolen phone – that will be returned to the owner after the examination.

The police started criminal proceeding over this incident under Part 1 of Article 185 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (theft). During the pre-trial investigation, possible involvement of the defendant in other similar crimes in the city will be checked.
