Today, August 26, around 1.30 am, in a private house in Uzhgorod, a car «BMW-750", which belongs to a deputy of Uzhgorod City Council, was burning. The car was completely destroyed by fire.
During the examination of the scene, the police found a piece of a tree branch with traces of an unknown substance and the fire debris.
Currently, the cause of the fire is preliminary defined as arson..
The Investigative Department of the of Uzhgorod City Office of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine in Transcarpathian region registered the information on the given fact in the Unified register of pre-trial investigations and initiated an investigation into the criminal offense under Part 2 of Art. 194 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (the intentional destruction of or damage to property committed by arson, explosion or other generally dangerous method, or property damage caused in a large scale – punishable by imprisonment of three to ten years).
