An unfortunate smuggler tried to export nearly 7 kilograms of jewelery

According to spokeswoman of Chop customs Victoria Senhetovska, a 41-year-old offender at the checkpoint "Tisa" deliberately chose "green corridor", stating that he was not carrying any hidden goods. However, during the in-depth inspection customs officers found 349 men’s rings, weighing 6970 grams, and 11 bracelets – 330 grams, which were hidden in fender guards and airbag niche of his «BMW».

Experts are determining the value and composition of the revealed items. The protocol has been written against the owner and the carrier of the goods. The found goods and the vehicle have been seized until the court decision.
