The work on the crib began with the phrase: "Father, let’s make a crib on our own." "Let’s do it! If people want it, it will be good" – was the unequivocal answer of the confessor of Greek Catholic community of the Assumption Church in the Domanyntsi neighbourhood in Uzhgorod, Fr. Mykola Matsur.
And the work began. Already mentioned Fr. Mykola Matsur and Fr. Petro Terelya (confessor of Greek Catholic community of the Shurch of Archangel Michael in the village of Lazy in Volovets district) made a crib, artist Odarka Dolgosh designed and painted it. The great desire was based on donations; faithfuls would bring all they could: Tomash Sopko, Marian Shcherbina with his family, Igor Boychuk with his family, Robert Levitsky, Taras Hretsky, Yosyp Shalapka, Victor Ravas, Yuriy Smolar, Mykola Chulevych and others…
As a result, now they have a nice crib, 1.75 cm tall and 2 m wide. Now, it is standing in front of the Assumption Church on Starodomanynska Street.
