An official of the State Land Register was detained on bribe in Transcarpathian region

Officers of the Security Service of Ukraine detained the Deputy Chief of the State Land Register Office in Transcarpathian region.

For registration of 25 hectares of farmland, the official demanded from a farmer one thousand dollars bribe per hectare. It was done under the direct supervision of the "underboss" from Kyiv – a resident of the capital, acting assistant deputy of Ukraine.

The official was caught red-handed – at the moment of receiving the bribe. A criminal proceeding over this fact has been opened. 

Recall that the head of the RSA believes that corruption in another unit subordinate to Kyiv is the main obstacle to construction in Transcarpathia.
