An offender, en route from Slovakia was detained in Transcarpathia

Last night, border guards of the Chop detachment, department "Velyky Berezny" detained an offender for illegal crossing of the state border.

After receiving information from Slovak border guards about one unknown person moving towards the state border of Ukraine, the State Border Guard Service officers immediately started search actions. First, Ukrainian border guards found a gap in the protective fence, and later sniffer dog Tito found tracks of the offender. At 800 meters from the state border, the man, who tried to hide in the grass, was detained.

The detainee had no ID. According to the man, he is a native of Chechnya and a citizen of the Russian Federation. Currently, the offender was brought to the border guard unit to make a report on administrative violation and establish all the circumstances.
