Yesterday afternoon, officers of the Chop detachment detained an irrepressible Turkish citizen, who had previously twice attempted to illegally reach Slovakia. The offender was detained thanks to the information received by the local inspector of the post "Onokivtsi" from a local resident.
The latter informed that he had noticed an Asian stranger in the bus "Kamyanytsia – Uzhgorod". Border guards checked the bus, and found a 35-year-old Turk there. As it turned out, border guards had already detained him a month ago for attempting to break the border near the village of Huta. Then, the order on compulsory return was issued, according to which the offender was obliged to leave the territory of Ukraine. However, the foreigner did not fulfill these requirements; exceeded the permitted period of stay in the territory of Ukraine and tried to break the Ukrainian-Slovak border again.
Therefore, the detainee was taken to the department of the border guard service for filtration measures and drafting of relevant procedural documents. After establishment of all the circumstances of the offense, he will be brought to administrative liability under Part 2 of Article 204-1 of the Code of Administrative Offenses "Illegal crossing or attempt to illegally cross the state border of Ukraine".
