An exhibition of Viktor and Olena Derdas will open in Uzhgorod (Announcement)

 On April 5, 2016, the exhibition of Victor and Olena Derdas opens in the VOTO Art Café.

 The artists are graduates of the Lviv Academy of Arts, the Department of Textiles. Before the Academy, Olena graduated from the painting department of the Odesa Art School, and Victor – from the ceramics department of Uzhgorod College of Applied Arts. Since recently, they have been living in Uzhgorod, working as teachers at the Transcarpathian Art Institute. They have participated in many Ukrainian and international exhibitions.

The works featured at the exhibition are made in the author’s technique of textile collage. It is a fusion of a variety of techniques, themes and fantasies. An endless game of interpretations and search for their own way.

"We have invented this game, but sometimes it seems that the game has invented us" – the artists say.

  The exhibition will run until April 30, 2016
