On January 22, the exhibition "Time to Build. Restored objects of cultural heritage in the Carpathian Basin" will open in the Transcarpathian Regional Museum of Folk Architecture and Rural Life. The visitors will see the results of the Floris Romer Program launched by the Government of Hungary in October 2015 to study and preserve the cultural heritage of the Carpathian Basin. Over the past three years, the executor of the program – the Laszlo Teleki Foundation – has been coordinating the restoration and repair of more than one hundred monuments – from Transylvania to modern Slovakia. In particular, a total restoration of 10 architectural monuments was carried out, partial restoration of other numerous objects often saved the buildings which were under the threat of total destruction, and as a result of intervention previously unknown frescoes and art fragments have been revealed. The beginning is at 15.00. The admission is free.
