An ex-convict dismantled 20 meters of railway track to sell for scrap

The thief pulled out iron pads and spikes from under the tracks and wanted to sell them for scrap.

Mukachevo police detained a 30-year-old woman, who had dismantled about 20 meters of railroad track and stolen component parts – pads and spikes near the station in Mukachevo.

The policemen caught her red-handed while she was going to sell the stolen parts for scrap.

The police opened the case under Part 1 of Article 185 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (Theft). The investigation continues.
