This was announced yesterday at a briefing by the head of the Transcarpathian Regional State Administration Oleksiy Petrov.
According to him, the electronic queuing system will be implemented at the expense of grant funds. This system will be installed by an Estonian company.
At present, such electronic queuing systems for cars at state borders are successfully operating even in Belarus, Lithuania, Russia and other countries.
The Transcarpathian Regional Administration initiated the installation of the system and this initiative was supported by the Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal.
Currently, such a system will be installed at the checkpoint "Tisa" on the state border with Hungary and at the checkpoint "Uzhgorod" on the state border with Slovakia.
The system enables drivers to buy a so-called electronic ticket and get the exact time to cross the border by car.
Installing such a system will significantly reduce queues at state borders.
