On Thursday, November 22, the head of the Transcarpathian Regional State Administration Hennadiy Moskal met with Istvan Balazs, the founder of the company "Holso" (Austria), which specializes in road repairs.
They discussed the introduction of Canadian method for the restoration of road dressing using clay and special patented solutions.
– This is an ideal option for broken roads, as the preparatory stage involves the complete removal of the damaged asphalt coating. Then the soil (clay) is loosened, a special component is added, and the surface should be thoroughly compacted with rollers, – I. Balazs told about the method. – Thus, the road becomes hard as stone. Moreover, the special solution is water repellent, so the road can withstand various weather conditions. In general, the more load on the road, the better the road.
According to the representative of the Austrian party, the warranty period for the "clay" road is 10-15 years.
Representatives of the Austrian company said that they are ready for the relevant tender procedures. In addition, they suggested to restore the trial section of the road using the Canadian method in order to assess the quality and durability of the road. The head of the regional state administration noted that on his part he was ready to help in search of partners for the use of the necessary equipment – rollers, graders, trucks for transportation of clay.
In the near future, the regional state administration will continue the dialogue with the Austrian party, so that early next year, the Canadian road repair method could be used in the region, the press service of the Transcarpathian Regional State Administration reported.
