A new plant for the production of asphalt is being opened in Mukachevo district, near the village of Kolchyno. Installation and startup of the facilities took less than six months.
– While the four existing asphalt plants in the region (in Uzhgorod, Mukachevo, Khust and Tyachiv districts) together produce around 400 tons of asphalt per day, the new one will produce 2200 tons per day – H. Moskal said. – Lack of asphalt was one of the reasons for poorly repaired roads in Transcarpathia. Now this disadvantage has been eliminated – the region has a powerful new plant, and the district – new tax revenues.
The first asphalt from the new plant will be used for the repair of the road of international importance "Vylok – Dyakovo" in Vynogradiv district. Last year, local residents blocked the road there because of the terrible state of the asphalt cover.
