Today, an exhibition of works by members of the Painting Section of the Transcarpathian organization of NUAU was opened in the "Uzhgorod" gallery. All works featured in the gallery are in the genre of still life, but the techniques differ. 29 authors exhibited their works at the discretion of the viewer. They range from abstract works on a certain subject to hyperrealistic paintings.
In addition to still life paintings, the sculptural collage by Petro Ryaska was exhibited.
The Head of the Transcarpathian organization of NUAU Boris Kuzma said that any artist is surrounded by various items that in some way affect his subconscious, work and thoughts."The theme of still life is close to our artists, and therefore is relevant. Its potential is inexhaustible. It is good when creative people gather to share their views and proposals on one topic", – Boris Kuzma said.
Painter Oleksandr Hromovy in this exhibition presented two still lifes. He, as one of the organizers of the exhibition, is convinced that this plainned nature provides an opportunity to work in different genres. "Still lifes are chamber things, people work mainly in workshops. However, this is not such a simple theme. Particular nature of each artist is expressed through the work of this genre. The works immediately show what a person tends to", – the artist said.
The first still lifes were depicted on the frescoes of ancient Greece and Rome. New works of theis long-born style will be exhibted in the walls of the gallery for two weeks.
