Americans will help Uzhgorod physician to become “exemplary”

During the visit of the American delegation from sister city Korvalis, Oregon, the Head of Health Administration in Transcarpathian region Roman Shnitser and deputy head of Health Administration Volodymyr Brych met with a family doctor from Korvalis Mark Rempton and the president of the Association of Sister Cities of Uzhgorod, assistant professor of medicine and family medicine of UzhNU Pavlo Kolesnik.

During the meeting, the physicians discussed further areas of cooperation, in particular in the development of family medicine. For several years the Americans have been dealing with family dispensaries on Kapushanska str., 161. Soon on the basis of this clinic that now serves 15 000 Uzhgorod residents a center for training and retraining of family doctors will open. Creating an educational institution like that will allow to clearly show how the work of family doctors can and should be organized using a specific clinic as an example.
