The representatives of One collective would like to arrange a green area, possibly a park, in the Radvanka neighborhood
Three areas of cooperation between the local branch of the charity One collective and the city authorities of Uzhgorod were discussed today by the charity head Douglas Landro, his deputy for the Roma population Harry Pavlo and the deputy mayor of Uzhgorod Vasyl Homonay.
The representatives of One collective would like to arrange a green area, possibly a park, in the Radvanka neighborhood with a play area and a football field. As they explained, they want to take Roma children from the streets where they usually play. They have the means to implement this plan and commit to maintain the territory.
According to the Press Service of the Uzhgorod City Council, Vasyl Homonay stressed that the city authorities were open to cooperation and ready to support all constructive initiatives. Regarding the territory on Radvanka, the potential plot has been identified, it is a municipal property. However, a detailed site plan must be developed and subsequently the appropriate status of the site must be approved by a decision of the session.
Also, representatives of the charity would like to use alternative technology to make a section of the road in the area of Andriy Palay Street. And also, to establish a social center. Vasyl Homonay said that the idea of establishing a center in the Radvanka neighborhood is interesting and in the future it will be possible to find a format how to do it.
At the end of the meeting, they agreed on further steps for cooperation in each of the areas discussed today
