Ambassador of Ukraine at the EU turned with a letter to the European Commission in which he set out his dissatisfaction with the visas issuance to Ukrainian situation.

‘We are not talking about any confrontation, the matter is, that the human rights protection of our citizens abroad remains the major task for us. This task was set by the President of Ukraine on which we constantly work’, – said Yeliseev in his interview to the TV channel ‘5 kanal’. He added that this latter should be viewed as ‘an experience of this negative tendency, which takes place lately’. The diplomat stressed that he is concerned about the situation of visas issuance to Ukrainian. ‘You do realize that you can issue a visa, but a person will pass all possible and impossible bureaucratic obstacles in order to get it. As for me it is important that the visas were issued quickly, efficiently and without any degradation of human dignity’ – said Eliseev. The letter was given to the European Commissioner of Internal Affairs Sesilia Malmsterm.
