All art of Transcarpathia in one exhibition (PHOTO-REPORT)

Last week, on the occasion of the Day of the Artist, which this year will be celebrated in Ukraine on October 14, an exhibition of art works was opened in Uzhgorod. Traditionally, in two locations, and the official opening was in two parts: at 13.00, graphics and decorative applied art were presented in the "Uzhgorod" gallery, and at 15.00, the painting and sculpture – in the Transcarpathian Regional Art Museum. The chairman of the Transcarpathin organization of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine, People’s Artist of Ukraine Borys Kuzma said that he was pleased that along with famous artists of the region, the lion’s share of works was presented by young people. "This means that the Transcarpathian School of Painting is living and developing," – he added. For example, in the gallery, more than 40 authors presented over 70 works. Here, you can see carving, ceramics, design works, watercolors, origami. The official part continued in the Art Museum, and a lot of Transcarpathian artists received diplomas. Many of the works, that are exhibited in the halls, have already been presented at various vernissages. However, in general, the exhibitions give a complete picture of the current state of Transcarpathian painting.
