In the afternoon, a storm swept over Uzhgorod. The strong wind uprooted trees at various city locations: at playgrounds, near the hospital, at pedestrian crossings and carriageway. Unexpected and dangerous to health and life natural phenomenon frightened not only pedestrians who were hiding from danger whereever they could.
To save time and to get home faster, motorists were driving at high speed… in the pedestrian zone: Korzo street, Teatralna Square and, crossing the pedestrian bridge, Petofi Square…
Recall that according to the official information, the storm in Uzhgorod toppled more than a dozen trees, damaged four vehicles and destroyed more than a dozen of billboards.
