In order to ensure the safety of citizens, the leadership of the National Police of Ukraine decided to tighten measures to ensure public safety and order in Vinnytsia, Zhytomyr, Transcarpathia, Ivano-Frankivsk, Lviv, Rivne, Ternopil, Khmelnytsky and Chernivtsi regions.
Measures are being taken in order to respond in a timely manner to the criminogenic situation, to prevent destabilization of the situation, as well as to perform tasks to prevent terrorist acts.
To this end, police officers are on duty in the central parts of regional centers and in public places, where there may be a significant number of citizens of these regions. Servicemen of the National Guard of Ukraine are also invlolved.
Law enforcement officers are patrolling the streets of cities, the territory of bus stations and railway stations. In addition, mobile posts are set up at the entrances and exits of the regional centers.
The police are carrying out the following preventive measures:
checking the documents of suspects and conducting a cursory inspection;
inspecting vehicles for the purpose of explosive devices detection;
special attention is being paid to suspicious items (packages, bags, boxes), which may contain explosive materials and explosive devices;
ensuring road safety on highways.
