After a visit to Brussels, Transcarpathian delegation visited the Czech Republic

After attending and speaking at meetings of the EGTC Platform of the Committees of the EU Regions, which recently took place in Brussels, the Chairman of the Transcarpathian Regional Council Mykhailo Rivis went to the Parliament of the Czech Republic.

In Prague, Mykhailo Rivis met with a member of the Chamber of Deputies of the Czech Parliament, Hetman of Vysocina region Jiri Byehounek and the head of the government of Vysocina Zdenyk Kadlec. The meeting was also attended by the director of the "ViZa" Foundation Volodymyr Chubirko, the deputy director of the EGTC TISA Yudita Yevchak and members of the charity fund "ViZa" Josef Nedvěd and Vasyl Samandrul.

         During the bilateral talks, they discussed the state and prospects of cooperation between the partner regions – Vysocina and Transcarpathia in 2016.

– We met with the hetman Jiří Byehounek – Mykhailo Rivis says. – We exchanged greetings from our communities, discussed the basic steps for further cooperation. Also we planned further meetings, exchange of delegations and technical inspection of projects. I once again stressed that we welcome such a fruitful and successful cooperation between Transcarpathia and Vysocina.

As you know, this year, 15 joint investment projects for reconstruction and repair of educational, preschool education and health care institutions are implemented in Transcarpathia in cooperation with Vysocina. Thus, the Czech party pledged to finance CZK 4.6 million, 3 million of which has already been transfered to the charity fund "ViZa".

         Transcarpathian Regional Council also provided co-financing of these projects.   The progress of the projects is under control of the heads of both regions. Also a number of events in cultural and educational areas are planned.
