After a long break, tours for Hungarian tourists in Transcarpathia will be resumed

In Transcarpathia in recent years, due to the known events in eastern Ukraine, the number of tourists from neighboring countries, including Hungary, has significantly diminished, the mukachevo.net informs. It affected not only good neighborly relations, but also the rural tourism, which has just begun to develop in the region. Therefore, Rakoczy Public Association together with Hungarian partners decided to seek the way out of the crisis.In particular, they announced a new travel program for pensioners associations, clubs and church community groups in Hungary.

"This program will strengthen our relationship and positively affect the development of tourism," – the Hungarian government commissioner in Transcarpathia Istvan Hrezha said. This was announced by the official portal of the Government of Hungary.

Currently 100 tours for 4000 persons have already been organized. The Secretary of Rakoczy Association Csongor Csaki said that most Hungarians plan to visit the Veretsky pass, the Upper Tisa region and the natural attractions of the region.

Most tour groups spend two nights in rural areas – usually in private estates. Thus, leaving their money here, tens of millions of forints, they contribute to the support of the local population and tourism development.
