Activists are trying to save the “Avtomobilist”

It is sad to watch the only municipal stadium in Uzhgorod "Avtomobilist" gradually disappearing, the portal "Lobda" warns.

"On the north side of the stadium, the construction is underway, which slowly steals the territory of the sports facilities which ultimately will turn the "Avtomobilist" into another shopping center" – the head of the Football Federation of Uzhgorod Victor Kachur informed. According to Victor Kachur, the stadium and the football field are very neglected and overgrown with shrubs. "Law enforcement agencies must find out which mayor of the city of Uzhgorod and on what grounds transferred the sports facility of the Uzhgorod stadium "Avtomobilist" into common use. I, on behalf of the football community of the city and residents of the "Novy" neighborhood, request local authorities and prosecutors to verify the legality of the seizure of the Avtomoblist and to stop this outrage!!" – the head of the federation writes indignantly.
According to Victor Kachur, on June 19, there was a constructive dialogue with the participation of the Mayor Victor Schadey, the administrator Oleksandr Volosyansky, representatives of relevant departments and donors. It was decided to install a fence to stop illegal seizure of the land of the sports facilities. The next meeting will be held on 25.06, at 17.00.
