“Act against violence”: the campaign was held in Uzhgorod

Today, December 11, the campaign "Act against violence" timed to the all-Ukrainian campaign "16 days against violence" took place on Teatralna Square in Uzhgorod. The event was attended by officials of the city council, social services and other state institutions.
Transcarpathian police at the campaign against violence were represented by the Deputy Chief of the Preventive Activities Department of the Main Office of the National Police in Transcarpathian region, Colonel Vadim Sytalo and Senior Inspector of the Department Captain Diana Shemet. Officers of the regional patrol police also took part in the campaign.
After the speeches of the organizers and participants of the campaign, a flash mob was held, during which children left their handprints on a special sheet of paper. In this way, the children contributed to fighting against "adult" violence.

According to Colonel Vadim Sytalo, the main goal of the campaign is to draw public attention to the problem of domestic and sexual violence. Citizens should be aware that this problem must not be concealed, that you can speak about such facts openly without shame, and that the police and relevant social services can protect victims of violence and punish the perpetrators.

“In Uzhgorod, in particular, there is a round-the-clock mobile police task force "Polina", whose task is to counter domestic violence. So if you or your loved ones have become the victims of domestic violence, do not stay silent about this but call 102,” – the communications department of the Transcarpathian regional police reported.
