On Tuesday (07.02), around 6.30 am, in the village of Kvasy in Rakhiv district (Transcarpathia), a bus "Etalon", that was going from Yasinya to Uzhgorod, fell off a precipice. According to preliminary data, the driver exceeded the speed limit failed to follow the bend near the cafe "Lisova pisnya". As a result, the bus slid to the side of the road and rolled over on its side.
– The height of the precipice above the Tisa river at this point is more than 15 meters, – the head of the Regional State Administration Hennadiy Moskal said. – The bus slid four meters down and was stopped by two trees, which saved the passengers.
The head of Rakhiv District State Administration, several emergency crews and rescuers immediately arrived at the scene. At the time of the accident, there were 11 passengers in the bus, three of them (two women and a young man) were slightly injured. The driver also needed medical assistance, although no injuries were found (he became sick as a result of shock). The rescuers are going to pull the bus out of the precipice.
