A winter palace to host children’s Olympiad may be built in Mukachevo district

This initiative was discussed in the Mukachevo District State Administration. 
At the meeting chaired by the acting head of the Mukachevo District State Administration Andriy Dankanich, they discussed the issue of holding international winter children’s games (Children’s Olympiad) in Ukraine, which is being discussed at the top level of the state leadership. 
The town council of the town of Kolchino in Mukachevo district, as well as an initiative group headed by Vasyl Hisem, the chairman of the Federation of Winter Sports of Transcarpathia, expressed willingness to hold this sports event. Source.
The Children’s Olympiad is due to take place in 2025, so both the town council and the federation commit to organize and conduct the event in Transcarpathian region. The main condition for the realization of this plan is the construction of a winter palace. 
Children’s Winter Games include hockey, figure skating and short track competitions. According to the preliminary plan, the winter arena will accommodate three thousand spectators. 
It should be noted that the initiators already informed that skiing competitions can be held at the mountain resorts "Sinyak" and "Krasia".
