Officers of Vynogradiv police found the man, who damaged four gravestones in the village of Velyki Komiaty, and ask for compulsory medical measures against the suspect.
Yesterday, March 1, a resident of the village of Velyki Komiaty in Vynogradiv district reported to the police that at night, unidentified persons damaged the monument on the grave of his grandmother in the village cemetery. The investigative team with the patrol police company found out that a 40-year-old local resident, who is registered at Vynogradiv psychiatric hospital, was involved in the offense. The man came to the cemetery at night and, for no reason, damaged four graves.
A criminal proceeding over this incident was initiated under Art. 297 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, that is abuse of a grave. Police officers ask for compulsory medical measures against the suspect. The investigation continues.
