The Transcarpathian artistic area has got a lot of talents! By a beautiful tradition, talented people often unite and present the country similarly talented descendants. At the same time, each ‘artistic unit’ of such a group remains a self-sufficient and original creator. The Skakandiy family is not an exception. The head of the family is Vasylj Yuliyovich, a lecturer of the artistic institution know far beyond the Silver land. He is a renown classic of the Ukrainian school of painting. His wife is Olha Liudvyhivna. She does not only ensure the prosperity of the family but also actively tries her hand at art.
The original art of Olha Skakandiy has found its admirers long ago. However, a new branch has appeared in her artistic sphere five years ago. It was puppetry. According to the artist, everything has begun with caricatures on her artist-colleagues five years ago. However, the list of the professions puppets has significantly increased now. The author has shared the last ‘member’ of the puppet-family on Facebook. Today, the puppet meets its prototype.
By the way, it was yesterday, on 20 February, that Mykola Ivanovych Mushynka celebrated his honorary jubilee. The unique artist has long ties with Transcarpathia. Thus, a present from this region appeared to be a pleasant surprise to him. The staff of the Uzhgorod.in would also like to congratulate Mykola Ivanovych with this honorary event and to wish many years!

He is a candidate of philological studies, PhD. Mykola Mushynka is a member of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine.
