A group of illegal immigrants was detained today by officers of the Border Guard Service in Transcarpathia while taking special measures to combat illegal migration.
Border guard patrol noticed unknown persons moving in a rubber boat towards Hungary using a portable night vision device at 4 o’clock in the morning. The unknown persons did not respond to the request of law enforcement offcers to stop, so border guards had to catch the boat and the violators and jumped into the water.
There were seven people in the boat – six of them were citizens of Afghanistan – two men, two women and two young 18-month-old children. Also, there was our countryman in the boat, who, as it turned, out was their trafficker.
The "travelers" were delivered to the Department of the Border Guard Service "Bodalove" for drafting of reports on administrative violations, their fate will be decided by court.
Regarding the citizen of Ukraine, who had had problems with the law before, the materials will be sent to the police.
