Active measures for combating corruption among border guards continue to yield positive results. Thus, yesterday, at the checkpoint "Uzhgorod", another attempt to bribe border guards of the Chop detachment was recorded, the press service of the Chop border guard detachment informs.
During the passport control, a citizen of Ukraine, who was going as a passenger to Slovakia, presented a passport of the citizen of Hungary and an internal passport of the citizen of Ukraine.Thus, the woman violated the requirements of Art. 2 of the Law of Ukraine "On Citizenship of Ukraine", Art. 2 of the Law of Ukraine "On procedure of exit from Ukraine and entry to Ukraine by citizens of Ukraine" and Art. 12 of the Law of Ukraine "On state border of Ukraine." To avoid administrative charges for attempting to illegally cross the state border of Ukraine, the woman offered border guards a bribe of 400 UAH. However, the attempt of bribe failed, this fact was reported to officers of the National Police.
The management of the Chop border guard detachment once again appeals to all road users not to violate the laws of Ukraine and not to attempt to get officers of the State Border Guard Service involved in illegal activities by offering bribes for making illegal decisions
