A Ukrainian lost his UAH 400 thousand car because of cigarettes

Yesterday, on March 26, border guards of the Mukachevo detachment prevented an attempt of cigarette smuggling.
 A 42-year-old citizen of Ukraine tried to hide cigarettes from the law enforcement officers. The man arrived at the checkpoint "Luzhanka" by a minibus brand "Opel" made in 2016. The presence of hidden tobacco was indicated by a sniffer dog. During the in-depth inspection it turned out that the Ukrainian had made a special cache in the fuel tank where border guards found 70 packs of cigarettes.

The found cigarettes and the vehicle were seized. The value of the cigarettes amounted to almost 2.2 thousand hryvnias, the vehicle was valued at 415 thousand hryvnias. Recall that yesterday morning, on the Ukrainian-Romanian border, at the checkpoint "Dyakovo", border guards found a car BMW made in 2014 with 1550 packs of contraband cigarettes. The seized car was estimated at 960 thousand hryvnias, the cigarettes were estimated at 48 thousand hryvnias.
