This morning (July 10) at the customs post "Tisa" of the Transcarpathian customs on the Ukrainian-Hungarian border, customs officers confiscated a minibus due to a cache with cigarettes. A resident of Ternopil region was traveling to Italy in a minibus Mercedes-Benz Sprinter. In the customs control zone, he chose the red corridor, filled out a declaration in which he indicated the presence of personal belongings only. But when customs officers conducted an in-depth inspection of the vehicle, they found 254 packs of cigarettes of various brands hidden from customs control in the partition between the luggage and passenger compartments. Therefore, the inspectors drew up a report under Article 483 Part 1 of the Customs Code of Ukraine. The minibus worth more than half a million hryvnias and 12,000 hryvnias worth of tobacco products were confiscated.
