Beregovo district court in Transcarpathian region sentenced an inhabitant of the village of Velyki Beregy in Beregovo district to two years in prison for conscription evasion during mobilization.
The Transcarpathian, being registered with the Beregovo Joint City Military Commissariat, being subject to military service, refused to accept the call to report to the Beregovo Joint City Military Commissariat for dispatch to military service under mobilization, as evidenced by his statement, thus violating Art. 65 of the Constitution of Ukraine, the Law of Ukraine "On Approval of the Decree of the President of Ukraine number 113 – VIII of 15.01.2015. "On partial mobilization", the Law of Ukraine "On mobilization preparation and mobilization."
The man was found guilty of a criminal offense under Art.336 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (evading conscription during mobilization) and sentenced to imprisonment for 2 years.
Based on Art.75 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, he was released from serving his sentence with a probation period of 1 year.
