A Transcarpathian was sentenced to 3 years for anti-Ukrainian activities

In Transcarpathia, based of the SSU materials, a citizen, who called for the overthrow of the constitutional order of Ukraine, has been convicted

         The judgment of Uzhgorod City and District court against a native of Perechyn district, accused under Part 2 of Art.109 (public incitement to violent overthrow or change of the constitutional order or seizure of state power, and distribution of materials calling for such actions) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, has entered into force.

         During April-May 2014, a local resident, on his page in one of the social networks, was posting anti-Ukrainian messages, which called for the violent overthrow of the constitutional order.

         The offender also called to form illegal paramilitaries in the region.

         Investigators of the Security Service of Ukraine Office in Transcarpathian region opened a criminal case.

         Uzhgorod City and District Court recognized the citizen of Ukraine guilty and sentenced him to a three years’ imprisonment with a probation period of 1 year.
