Current legislation prohibits to perform dredging, blasting, drilling, seismic works, collection of gravel and sand on water bodies during the spawning run of fish because that could adversely affect the spawning migration and spawning of aquatic biological resources.
But that does not stop some enterprising individuals to violate the requirements. Thus, a 25-year-old Yevhen from the village of Vovchy in Slalyava district came to the attention of the local department of the traffic police when he was transporting a river gravel in his car.
The young man did not have any official documents for the cargo, so the vehicle was placed in the impound lot.
