A Transcarpathian pensioner did not believe a telephone scammer and called to the police

The police is looking for a swindler who tried to cheat a resident of Irshava out of her money. Telephone scammers tried to cheat a Transcarpathian pensioner, but she called the police 

An unknown man called a 90-year-old resident of Irshava, and said that he was her grandson. The man said that he had come to Transcarpathia from abroad and was in a quandary, so he asked to transfer money to a personal bank account. The woman did not have that much money, and at first she wanted to ask her friends for money, but then called the police.

The police quickly determined that the phone call had nothing to do with her relatives. Law enforcement officers found out that the applicant’s grandson was fine and safe. The police launched an investigation into this incident. The measures to identify the scammer, who phoned the woman, are being taken.
