Yesterday, at 12.15, Vynogradiv police department received a report from a 20-year-old driver of a truck "Kamaz" that he had been stopped by unknown men in a black car "VAZ 21099" without license plates. Allegedly, it occurred on the road between the settlements of V. Komyaty and Shalanky.
The driver delivered cement to a store and received funds in the amount of 22,320 hryvnia. According to the young man, unknown persons, threatening with physical violence, took this money away from him.
The driver of the "Kamaz" was notified about criminal liability for knowingly false report of a crime when writing the statement.
Then, in the course of the inspection of the scene, these funds were found in the cabin of the "Kamaz". Only after that, the driver admitted that there had been no robbery…
Article 383 of the Criminal Code provides for the punishment for knowingly false report of a crime by correctional labor for up to two years, or arrest for up to six months, or restraint of liberty for up to three years, or imprisonment for up to two years.
This punishment will be imposed on the driver of the truck, who had staged a crime.
