A Transcarpathian businessman will pay more than UAH 20 million fine for illegal employees

The Main Office of the SFS in Transcarpathian region reported that, following the control and verification activities in 2018, the State Labor Service Office in Transcarpathian region received results of inspections of 15 economic entities, which revealed the employment of 220 employees without entering into employment contracts.

In particular, the most highly publicized case of 2018 was the employment of 186 employees without an appropriate registration of labor relations. An entrepreneur was providing international transportation services. Following the review of the inspection materials, the State Labor Service Office in Transcarpathian region imposed on the businessman a fine in amount of UAH 20 million.

"Another significant achievement is the employment of 162 citizens on the next day following the beginning of the check into the compliance with the law on labor relations by employers. It should be noted that during 2018, 613 workers were legalized. As a result, UAH 192.2 thousand of PIT, UAH 16.1 thousand of military tax, and UAH 247.1 thousand of the single contribution was paid to the budget. Also, 232 individuals were registered. As a result, UAH 469.3 thousand of the single tax and UAH 565 thousand of the single contribution was paid to the budget," – the SFS informs.
