The operation for assisting and transporting an injured tourist from Kyiv region to a hospital lasted for more than 24 hours.
At 17:25, on August 12, the operational and rescue service received a report that on the tourist route near the Breskul mountain within the Chornohora ridge in
Rakhiv district, a 17-year-old tourist, a resident of the city of Boryspil in Kyiv region had gotten injured.
Rescuers of the mountain search and rescue department of the city of Rakhiv, consisting of 4 personnel members and 1 unit of equipment, were sent at the scene for search and rescue works.
At around 21:00, the searchers reached the location of the group of tourists and examined the injured tourist. After providing him with urgent medical assistance, due to late time and difficult route, the rescuers decided to wait for the light time of day.
In the morning, August 13, the young man was transported to the city of Rakhiv. First, on foot, and then by a vehicle, the rescuers delivered the victim to
Rakhiv District Hospital. At present, the life of the young man is not in danger.
