October 9, at 12:50, the Rescue Service "101" received a call for help from a tourist, who had gotten lost near the Brebeneskul Lake of the Chornohora ridge in Rakhiv district.
As it turned out, the 21-year-old man came to rest in the mountains from the city of Zaporizhia. He started his hiking route from the village of Vorokhta in Ivano-Frankivsk region. Due to bad weather conditions, the man got lost.
Yasinya mountain search and rescue department consisting of 4 rescuers was sent to help the tourists. Constantly staying in touch with the lost man by telephone, the rescuers directed him to the place, where he started the hike from, and reported the incident to their colleagues at Vorokhta mountain search and rescue department of Ivano-Frankivsk region.
This morning, October 10, rescuers from the neighbouring region met the man and escorted him to a safe place. He did not need medical care.
