Blacksmith Art Festival "Hamora-2015", held during the weekend in the village of Lysychovo, began with a minute of silence in memory of the fallen defenders of the Fatherland.
The forge, around which the festival takes place, is the only operating water forge in Europe, so it attracts masters and fans of blacksmithing and tourists. 17 blacksmiths from Transcarpathia, Kyiv, Dnipropetrovsk regions were skillfully making elements for this year’s symbol of the festival, which had been developed by the head of the Transcarpathian community of blacksmiths "Klepachi" Serhiy Tyasko. Its symbolic title is "Light", and it will symbolize our people’s struggle for peace and a brighter future. It is a street lamp with the height of three and a half meters to be installed in the center of Lysychevo.
Blacksmiths also produced on their own initiative several handmade knives, which were put up for auction. The proceeds from the sale will be used to help our defenders in the ATO.
The festival program, however, did not end on this – they conducted master classes on blacksmith art, basket weaving, embroidery, pottery. And in the evening, the winner of "The Voice" Anton Kopytin performed for the guests of the festival. "Despite the fact that I lost my home in my native Donetsk, here I feel at home" – Anton confessed.
