According to the Transcarpathian Weather Center, at night of 9 to 10 and during 10 of January, heavy snow, sometimes blizzards and snow drifts are expected in the highlands and mountains of Transcarpathian region, as well as strengthening of south-west wind in some places up to 15-20 m / s, in the highlands – up to 25-30 m / s.
This was reported by the State Emergencies Service of Ukraine Office in Transcarpathian region.
On 10-12 of January, avalanche hazard is announced in the highlands of Transcarpathian region. In the mountainous areas of the eastern part of the region, there is a threat of snowslides on the road.
