At the meeting of the operational headquarters for technogenic and ecological safety and emergencies of Uzhgorod city council, they analyzed situation with significant snowfall and predicted significant decrease of temperature and determined priority actions.
The biggest problem is parked cars that hinder the work of special vehicles, so they decided that at night all crews of the patrol police will be driving around the city and warning through loudspeakers about the necessity to remove cars. Where necessary, tow trucks will be working.
The city authorities once again stressed: all citizens who own or rent properties must clean the areas around them themselves.
The First Deputy Mayor Istvan Tsap also instructed the chief physician of Uzhgorod central hospital to submit daily operational information about the locations where patients get injured.
City authorities also reminded that it is necessary to remove snow, icicles from roofs while observing all safety rules, places where snow and ice can fall from roofs should be fenced, it is necessary to put warning signs.
Given the predicted cold snap, the heads of condominiums and management of service companies will once again be warned on emergency prevention algorithm.
Currently in Uzhgorod, there is one heating point – near the lake in the Peremoha Park (Kirpichka), if necessary, more will be opened.
Medical institutions are ready to receive victims of hypothermia and frostbite, – the chief doctor of Uzhgorod central city hospital, Ivan Kurakh assured.
