On May 30, Monday, at 17.00, in the reading room of the Transcarpathian Regional Universal Scientific Library, there will be the presentation of the book by Polish writer Dorota Terakowska translated into Ukrainian by Dzvinka Matiyash "Mouse".
The life of the family of Adam and Eva is laid out in detail. First, the career: a position in the board of a prestigious firm, solid bank account, their own house. And then it’s time to think about a child who will have everything money can buy.
But they give birth to a "little Mongol". In short, they give birth to Mouse – a child with the most severe form of Down syndrome. She has an incredible need for love – and an incredible ability to awaken love…
It is this deepest, most humane love that the very hard, very painful to read, but incredibly reassuring book of the Polish writer Dorota Terakowska translated into Ukrainian by Dzvinka Matiyash is devoted to. The project was supported by the Polish Institute in Kyiv.
