A serviceman died of a gunshot wound in Transcarpathia

Yesterday, in Transcarpathian region, a border guard of the department "Solomonovo" of the Chop detachment died after receiving a gunshot wound. 

The incident was reported by a serviceman who was serving on the Ukrainian-Hungarian border in the same border patrol.

He heard a shot and later found his colleague with a gunshot wound. 

An ambulance and police were called to the scene. 

Doctors pronounced the 23-year-old serviceman dead. 

He came to the Chop border guard detachment at the beginning of November after completing the training course. 

The circumstances that led to the death of the serviceman are currently being established.  

The State Border Guard Service expresses its sincere condolences to the family of the serviceman in connection with irreparable loss.
